Topic

Climate change is one of the major challenges facing humanity today. Under the general trend of the world to jointly respond to climate change, carbon neutrality has become one of the main measures for countries, governments, enterprises, event organizers and even individuals to cope with climate change and slow down the pace of global warming. carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) is considered as a critical technology in the process of achieving carbon neutrality, with great potential for development.

At the same time, how to efficiently use CCUS technology has become a global hot topic. Although significant breakthroughs have been made in CCUS technologies, the economic cost and safety involved in each above-mentioned process are still the key to restrict the large-scale development of CCUS. The special issue “Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage” welcomes submissions focusing on the theoretical and technical innovation of the next generation of CCUS, and proposing the development direction under the goal of carbon neutrality.

Topics of Interest

This issue will publish original research papers, reviews, meta-analysis, perspectives, and views & comments including but not limited to the following fields:

  • CCUS development status, perspective or comment.

  • CCUS new theories and technologies.

  • CCUS technological, economic, environmental and social assessment.
