Topic

To facilitate the new discoveries in the metagenomics field, now we figure out to host a special issue on “Microecology”, which highlights both fundamental research and clinical oriented studies. We hope this special issue will cover the novel findings involving theoretical development and cutting-edge research on the pathogenesis and therapeutic discovery of human health and diseases from a new horizon of interactions of human microbiota, metabolism and host immunity.

Topics of interest

This issue will publish original research papers, reviews, perspectives, news & highlights, and views & comments including but not limited to the following fields:

(1) News & Highlights: Engineering science and technology news with a global perspective and the latest progress in engineering science and technology issues of high concern; This column covers the following aspects:

  • Major technical breakthroughs in the field of engineering technology;
  • Major policy-making, project implementation, and economic developments in engineering technology;
  • Latest developments in other major issues of shared concern among sci-tech, engineering, and the wider communities.

(2) Views & Comments: It aims to encourage serious academic debates in the scientific and technological and engineering circles, express new ideas and viewpoints, and provide a platform for commenting on some comprehensive and major issues. Contributions to the column should be more forward-looking, speculative, and with a higher and broader vision than Research Articles and Reviews.

(3) Research papers: High-level research results related to some key engineering science and technology events in the form of research articles, reviews, outlooks, and newsletters.
